After thoroughly cleansing the skin, a topical numbing cream is applied to decrease pain and discomfort during the procedure.

Then a pen-like device is used to inject microneedles into the skin causing micro injuries, better known as punctures. These micro injuries or punctures lead to the production of collagen and elastin. The science behind the micro abrasions is to stimulate the body to produce these healing agents which help repair skin.

Typically, one session of Medical Microneedling will take no more than a maximum of 20 minutes after the numbing cream takes effect. Depending on the issue, the technician may prescribe multiple sessions, usually spaced a month apart. As the treatment progresses, the needles will be penetrated deeper into the skin.

Clients traditionally see immediate results after a single session of Medical Microneedling. They experience plump and glowing skin for up to two weeks following the session.
