Most laser disappointments come from mismatched expectations, not equipment.
Most disappointments with laser treatment come from a poor match between treatment and goal, not from the equipment itself. Before booking any laser session anywhere, ask these five questions.
One. Which platform is being used and why is it the right one for my skin type and concern. There is no universal laser. The right wavelength depends on the target, hair, pigment, vasculature, water, collagen, and on your skin tone. A clinician who cannot answer this should not be touching you with a laser.
Two. What is the realistic outcome from a single session, and from a full course. A course is usually four to six sessions for most aesthetic goals, but the per-session improvement should be specific, not vague. "Better skin" is not an answer. A clear description of which concern will change, and by roughly how much, is.
Three. What is the downtime, and when can I return to normal activities. Carbon laser peel, none. Fractional ablative resurfacing, three to seven days. Be honest with yourself about your schedule before booking.
Four. What are the contraindications I should disclose. Recent isotretinoin use, active herpes, certain medications, pregnancy, melasma history, recent sun exposure, all change the calculation. A practitioner who does not ask is taking shortcuts.
Five. What is the home protocol around treatment. Sun avoidance before and after. Specific products to start or stop. SPF non-negotiable. If a clinic does not send you a written pre-care and aftercare protocol, the result will be inconsistent.
Most clinics in Dubai have similar equipment. The thing that distinguishes results is what happens during these five questions and the consultation that surrounds them.
