Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) is a highly effective FDA-approved chemical peel known for its ability to rejuvenate the skin around the eyes. It stimulates collagen production, improves skin texture, and reduces fine lines, dark spots, and puffiness in this delicate area.
Adults with periorbital pigmentation, sun damage, fine crepey texture, or stubborn dark circles with a pigmentation component — who are comfortable with 3–5 days of peeling and want a targeted, cost-effective alternative to laser for the eye area..

This treatment may not be right for you if any of the following apply. Please discuss your full medical history with us during consultation.
Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) is a controlled medical peeling agent that creates precise, superficial-to-medium depth exfoliation. In low, specialist concentrations it is used around the delicate eye area to break up pigmentation, stimulate collagen, and smooth fine lines. Only a trained practitioner should apply TCA near the eyes — it is not a home treatment.
Yes — this is the point. Expect darkening of the skin for 1–3 days (pigment lifts to the surface), followed by fine flaking and peeling around the eyes for 3–5 days. Most clients keep a low profile for the first 3 days then apply mineral makeup over the residual peeling.
Brightness and evenness begin to show as peeling completes, typically around day 5–7. Full result from a course of 3–6 sessions builds over 2–3 months as collagen remodelling continues.
TCA must be used cautiously on Fitzpatrick IV–VI due to the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Your practitioner may prime the skin with tyrosinase inhibitors (e.g. hydroquinone, kojic acid) for 2–4 weeks beforehand and use lower concentrations. In some cases, a non-ablative RF or Salmon DNA Eyes may be safer alternatives.
Lower concentration and more careful application — the periorbital skin is thin and delicate. We use a specific eye protocol, avoiding the lash margin and inner canthus, with eye protection in place throughout.
Yes. Many clients follow a course with Salmon DNA Eyes or Viora® RF Eyes for combined regeneration, pigmentation correction, and tightening.
