Sculptra is a different category of injectable. Unlike traditional filler, which adds volume to a specific area on day one, Sculptra is a collagen biostimulator made from poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible material long used in dissolvable surgical sutures. It works gradually, signalling your skin to produce its own new collagen over the months that follow.
The result is a natural, progressive return of structure and firmness across the whole face rather than a single corrected area. Cheeks regain gentle volume, the lower face firms, hollow temples soften, and skin quality improves. The Process
What to expect at your appointment
1. Consultation
A thorough doctor-led consultation including facial mapping, photographs, and a written treatment plan. We assess where volume has been lost and what areas of the face will benefit most.
2. First session
Topical numbing, then small injections placed across the treatment areas. The session takes around 45 minutes. You can return to normal activities immediately.
3. Massage protocol
For the first five days, you will massage the treated areas yourself, five times per day for five minutes, to encourage even distribution. We will show you the technique before you leave.
4. Follow-up sessions
Two more sessions follow at six-week intervals to complete the course. Each session adds another layer of collagen stimulation.
5. Gradual results
Results begin to build at around six weeks and continue across three to six months. The peak effect typically lasts up to two years before a touch-up is considered.

Filler adds volume to a specific area immediately and is reversible. Sculptra signals your skin to produce its own collagen over months and is not reversible. They solve different problems. Many of our clients use both: Sculptra for foundational rejuvenation, filler for targeted contour where needed.
When will I see results?

The first visible changes appear at around six weeks, but most of the improvement builds across three to six months. This is intentional. Sculptra is designed to look natural by changing your skin gradually rather than in a single session.
How long do results last?

Up to two years for most clients after a full three-session course. Maintenance is typically a single session every 18 to 24 months once the foundation is built.
Is there any downtime?

No formal downtime. Mild swelling and small bruises at injection points are normal for 24 to 72 hours. You can return to work and normal activity immediately. We ask you to avoid intense heat and alcohol for the first 24 hours.
Who is not a candidate?

Sculptra is not recommended for clients with active inflammatory skin conditions, autoimmune disorders affecting the skin, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. We screen at consultation and will tell you honestly if Sculptra is not the right treatment for you.
