Standard bio-remodelling, the original Profhilo formulation, is placed in the superficial layer of skin and stimulates collagen and elastin remodelling for an overall improvement in skin quality. Structura is the same family but a slightly different application.
The product uses a different cross-linking technology and is placed deeper, in the subdermal plane. The result is the same bio-remodelling and hydration benefit, plus a layer of gentle structural support. Think of it as Profhilo with a light lifting effect.
Where it shines. The lower face, where some clients want a subtle firming without committing to filler. The cheek area, where there has been mild volume loss but where filler would be too much. The temples, where thinning is gradual and a slow rebuild looks more natural than instant correction.
Where it does not replace anything else. If you want a sharper jawline or a higher cheekbone, you need filler. If you want a complete face lift, you need surgery. Structura is for the in-between, the natural firming and gentle support that clients in their forties and fifties often ask for without quite knowing how to describe it.
A typical course is two sessions, four weeks apart. The injection technique uses small amounts at five precise points per side, similar to the original Profhilo protocol but deeper. Twenty minutes per session, no downtime, immediate return to normal life.
It pairs well with EMFACE for muscle work, with bio-remodelling for skin quality at the superficial level, and with Thermage or Ultherapy for deeper tightening. The combinations are something we design together at consultation, sequencing them to build over six to twelve months.
Many clients come in asking for "filler" and walk out with a plan that combines Structura, bio-remodelling, and one targeted area of filler. The result looks like nothing in particular, which is exactly the point.
