Three injectable hair treatments, all helpful, used for different stages and budgets.
Hair thinning is one of the most common reasons clients book a consultation, and one where the right protocol depends heavily on where in the process you are. Three options we recommend most often, and how to choose between them.
PRP. Platelet-rich plasma is drawn from your own blood, spun to concentrate the growth factors, and injected into the scalp. It is the established standard for early to moderate hair thinning. A course of three to six sessions, four weeks apart, with maintenance every six months. Most clients see reduced shedding within the first two months and visible regrowth across four to six months.
Exosome therapy. Newer, more potent, and more expensive. Exosomes are extracellular vesicles loaded with growth factors and signalling molecules, sourced from carefully selected pharmaceutical-grade stem cell cultures. They deliver a more concentrated regenerative signal than PRP and are particularly useful for clients who have plateaued on PRP or who are at a more advanced stage of thinning.
Mesotherapy. Vitamin, peptide, and growth-factor microinjections placed across the scalp at a shallow depth. Less invasive than PRP or exosomes, more affordable per session, but generally fewer dramatic results. Mesotherapy works best as a maintenance protocol between PRP or exosome courses, or for clients with mild concerns who want a starting point.
We almost always combine these injectable protocols with a non-injectable component, low-level laser scalp therapy, topical minoxidil, oral finasteride for male clients where appropriate, and nutritional review. Single-pillar treatment plans underperform.
The treatment we recommend depends on your stage of hair loss, family history, medical context, and budget. We start with a scalp examination and trichoscopy at consultation, take baseline photographs, and design the plan around what we see. No two protocols look identical.
If a clinic offers you a fixed package without examining your scalp, walk away.
