Clear + Brilliant®

Unlike ablative lasers that remove the top layer of skin, Clear + Brilliant's 1440nm non-ablative wavelength creates microscopic zones of treated tissue beneath the surface while leaving the epidermis intact. The body then repairs these zones, producing fresh collagen and shedding damaged cells — with dramatically less downtime than ablative laser.

Clear + Brilliant is made by the same company as Fraxel but is gentler, designed as a 'gateway' fractional laser. Fraxel treats more advanced damage with more downtime; CO2 is ablative and most aggressive. Clear + Brilliant is the ideal maintenance and prevention option.

Numbing cream is applied for 30–45 minutes beforehand. With numbing, most clients feel a warm prickling — manageable and brief. After treatment your skin feels like a mild sunburn for a few hours.

Expect pink, warm skin on day 1 (similar to windburn), fine bronzed pinpoints on days 2–3, then natural sloughing revealing brighter skin by day 4–5. Most clients return to work the next day with mineral makeup.

A course of 4–6 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart delivers the best outcome. Maintenance every 2–3 months keeps results looking fresh. Results compound over time — the more sessions, the greater the improvement.

Clear + Brilliant is considered safe on Fitzpatrick I–IV. For Fitzpatrick V–VI, a test patch is recommended and your practitioner may suggest an alternative non-ablative option like RF resurfacing to minimise any risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation.
