L.P:YAG is a long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm) used for the treatment of vascular lesions, deeper small veins, and vascular irregularities. It is part of the Alma Harmony XL PRO platform, one of the most versatile systems in aesthetic medicine.
Adults with thread veins (telangiectasia), facial redness, spider veins, rosacea's vascular component, or small leg veins who want targeted vascular clearance with a laser designed specifically for blood vessels rather than pigment..
You may benefit if you have:
The 1064nm wavelength is absorbed by oxyhaemoglobin in blood vessels. Long-pulse duration heats the vessel wall gradually, causing it to coagulate and seal shut. Your body then clears the treated vessel over 4–8 weeks. The 1064nm wavelength bypasses surface melanin, making it safe across all skin tones.
You'll feel brief hot stinging sensations as the vessel is targeted, similar to a strong elastic band snap. Topical numbing and contact cooling are used to keep it tolerable. Sessions are typically short.
Facial thread veins often clear in 1–3 sessions. Diffuse rosacea redness typically needs 3–6. Leg veins are harder and may need 4–8 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Your practitioner will tailor to the vessel type, depth, and size.
Treated vessels are permanently destroyed. However, new vessels can form due to underlying venous insufficiency, hormonal changes, sun damage, or rosacea progression. Maintenance sessions every 12–24 months may be needed.
Yes — it is one of the most effective treatments for the vascular component of rosacea. It does not cure the underlying inflammatory condition, so topical and lifestyle management (triggers, skincare, and sometimes medication) remain important.
Immediate redness, mild swelling, and sometimes a fine bruise (purpura) along the treated vessel — this can last 1–3 weeks on legs. Facial vessels recover faster (2–7 days). Larger leg veins have up to 3 weeks of visible bruising before full resolution.
Yes. The 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength is the safest laser option for vascular work on Fitzpatrick IV–VI because it bypasses melanin.
