An AFT Facial is a targeted, effective skin resurfacing treatment that evolved from the popular IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light Laser Treatment, used to improve skin texture and repair problematic skin. 

AFT stands for Advanced Fluorescence Technology and uses light pulses in various wavelengths to rejuvenate your skin with no need for invasive procedures, painful processes, or complicated medication routines.

AFT Facials are suited to all skin types, for both men and women, and provide an effective and fast way to preserve the quality of your skin. 

They work to smoothen, clear and repair, to reveal clear and healthy skin that looks better than ever.

AFT Facials are generally used on the facial area, making this form of treatment the perfect choice for any individual with lesions and active breakouts on their forehead, cheeks, nose, or chin. 

In addition, AFT is highly effective on the hands, neck, and upper chest area, making it the ideal choice if you have other areas on your body that need proper treatment and care.

We thoroughly cleanse the skin to get rid of impurities, remove excess oil, makeup, sweat, dirt and dead skin cells from your skin.

We apply a natural exfoliant created from papaya and pineapple fruit extracts, preparing your skin thoroughly by removing dead skin cells to ensure effective results for your laser treatment. If required, we'll carry out gentle extraction to remove any blackheads or whiteheads before beginning our main treatment. This gentle process doesn't damage the skin and helps to ensure our AFT laser can enter the skin correctly.

If required or if your skin type allows, we follow up our laser treatment with a tailored advanced peel, further exfoliating and clearing the upper layer of the skin for glowing, fresh results.

The AFT laser enters the skin non-invasively following the application of a cold gel to the surface, destroying bacteria from within to remove the potential of active acne spreading or growing further.

As a non-invasive procedure, there is no required recovery time following your facial treatment. With no downtime required, you can go about your day as usual, whether you need to return to work or look after your family. 

Our powerful treatment has no long-lasting side effects other than healthier, happier, and clearer skin. A cool gel is applied during the laser process, allowing our laser to pass through your skin safely with no pain or damage.

We'd recommend booking a series of appointments of at least 5 to 6 sessions for the best possible results. 

One treatment every 3-4 weeks will provide the best possible results and ensures the first signs of new acne growth are caught before they spread. 

After your initial six or so sessions, you can then book in with us for maintenance every 2-3 months for long-lasting confidence and wonderfully clear skin.

Advanced Fluorescence Technology uses a non-invasive low energy light laser to repair skin imperfections. Most lasers only produce a single wavelength of light, which can limit how effective each treatment session can be. The AFT Laser Treatment transmits energy pulses in various wavelengths, allowing it to produce more powerful and effective results. 

We would always recommend speaking to your doctor before carrying out any further treatment. This is because some acne treatments may cause changes to the skin.

We would advise you to avoid using Retinol 5-7 days before your AFT Laser treatment appointment as it can increase skin sensitivity and lead to adverse effects like skin redness and inflammation. 

While you will see changes in your skin within the first session of your AFT Laser Treatment, it will usually take multiple sessions to see full results, depending on the condition of your skin. 

The treatment is tolerable, with little to no pain. While you may feel a slight stinging sensation during the treatment, it is very tolerable for most clients. 

We recommend avoiding direct sun exposure and using sunblock right after your treatment. However, apart from this there is no other downtime. You may return to your normal routine after the treatment. 

An average AFT Facial session takes just 60 minutes. With its non-invasive technology, your appointment won't prevent you from carrying on with the rest of your day as usual.

Like any laser facial treatment, 1 session is usually not enough to see full results. The benefit of the AFT Laser Facial is that it provides results a lot faster than IPL and other Laser Facial treatments, with less overall sessions needed. However, in order to understand how many total sessions you’d need, we recommend coming in for a skin consultation with our therapists. Usually, 4-6 sessions may be recommended, based on the condition of your skin.
